How much does the Precor Smith machine bar weigh?

11 lb (5 kg) unloaded, so your first set starts near empty-bar weight rather than the 25 to 45 lb of many Smith bars. Precor recommends stocking 2 x 5 lb, 2 x 10 lb, 4 x 25 lb and 4 x 45 lb plates. At 86 in tall it fits under a standard 8-foot ceiling.
