The Hoist LeMond Series UT is an upright exercise bike with a self-powered digital drive, 20 resistance levels spanning a usable range of 33 to more than 1,200 watts, and 14 programs including seven designed by Tour de France winner Greg LeMond. It suits home riders and light-commercial rooms that want a road-bike position and real power numbers without an outlet.

What you get

The bike with two seat options in the box, an upgraded LCD console with Bluetooth LE and the free Hoist Cycling app, a USB charging port, contact heart-rate sensors, larger pedals with ratchet-style straps and vertical plus fore-and-aft adjustment for both seat and handlebars. A power cord for 24/7 console power is optional and not included; a 5 kHz Polar-compatible heart-rate strap is also not included.

Does the UT need an outlet?

No. Pedaling powers the console, and there is nothing to calibrate: unbox it and ride. Add the optional cord only if you want the console on around the clock.
