Glutebuilder Hip Thrust Elite

The Glutebuilder Hip Thrust Elite is a plate-loaded hip thrust machine that works like a Smith machine for the glutes: the barbell rides a double linear carriage on dual linear bearings, so it moves up and down and slides forward and back with the lifter. It suits gyms and studios that run a lot of barbell hip thrusts and want a dedicated station.

What you get

The machine with its guided barbell carriage, a 3D-angled non-slip foot platform that keeps the feet planted while allowing external hip rotation through the range of motion, and adjustable shoulder pads with an oversized back pad so each user can set the fit. Weight plates are not included.

How is this different from a barbell hip thrust?

The bar is captive in the carriage, so there is no bench to balance on and no bar to roll; you set the pads, load the plates and thrust along a guided path that still lets the bar drift forward and back naturally.
